June meeting – 2022 Audrey Jessup Award
The finalists for the Audrey Jessup writing contest, listed in random order are;
A Tough Nut – Adrienne Stevenson
Chance – Jennifer Jorgensen
Masked Hysteria – Maya Velenzuela
Background – Pam Isfeld
Best Served Cold – Grace Quon
The winners will be announced at the June 8 meeting at 7 pm EDT.
This is the last meeting before we break for the summer and what better way to end the year than with readings from our finalists and the chance to socialize with each other. Normally we’d be meeting at a restaurant to socialize, eat, drink and announce the winners. Unfortunately, once again this year we will be meeting on-line. It doesn’t mean you can’t bring your own glass of wine, or beverage of your choice to toast our authors. There will be short readings from our finalists.
If you’re interested in attending, please email treasurer@capitalcrimewriters.com for the Zoom link
